The Homestead Review was re-imagined in 2000 by Maria Garcia Teutsch who assumed editorship of the student publication that existed under the editorship of Lucindi Mooney. Teutsch transformed it into a global journal featuring some of the best poets in the world. Jennifer Fellguth, who’d always been the web editor, began co-editing the journal in 2012. The Homestead Review started its life as a publication at Hartnell College in Salinas, California. Unfortunately, as often happens with undervalued college publications, (and literary journals in general), the funding stream ran out. Poet Republik Ltd. began publishing the magazine in 2017 and will finish its run with a 20 year anniversary anthology in 2020.
